Refrigerants

Conduct any servicing, maintenance, repair, or disposal of equipment containing refrigerants in a manner that reduces emissions of class I and class II refrigerants to the lowest achievable levels. Examples of such equipment are refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, water coolers, ice machines, and air-conditioning and heat pump units. Place labels and warning statements on containers as required by EPA "Protection of Stratospheric Ozone" regulations.

Only certified technicians may perform work on equipment in which refrigerants are involved. Copies of technicians' certificates are to be included as part of work proposals or supplied to representatives of Catholic University upon request.

After servicing equipment, provide documentation to the appropriate University representative indicating the date and type of service performed and the amount and type of refrigerant added or drained.
